“Chicago Roots” – Black History month hoodie
Released on February 6th in celebration of Black History Month, this project focused on honoring Chicago’s Black heritage and neighborhood pride through bold, graphic streetwear. The hoodie features a custom-designed map print highlighting Chicago’s community areas — a tribute to the city’s cultural history, local resilience, and neighborhood identity. Set against deep brown tones to represent rootedness and legacy, the design pairs graphic mapping with clean, modern typography. The visual direction for the shoot embraced warmth, texture, and attitude — centering a powerful yet playful portrait that places the wearer squarely in their element. Model: @cefromig
